FOUR EIGHT WINEWORKS, in reverence & reference to our 48th state, is Northern Arizona’s First Wine makers Co-Operative. An incubator for the driven on their quest not only to survive, but to make their mark in our fledgling wine region.
Although we refer to it as a Co-Op, Four Eight Wineworks production facility, in Camp Verde, is technically an Alternating Proprietorship. This means several wineries, each with their own federal permit, alternate the use of the facilities production equipment, such as de-stemmers, presses, blending tanks, bottling lines, forklifts. Each tenant occupies their own designated footprint, provides their own fruit, storage, aging, production and packaging materials, produces their own wine, maintains their own records, and are responsible for their own reporting, labeling and taxes.
Those interested in becoming a tenant must have winery production experience and/or earned their Associates Degree from the Southwest Wine Centers Enology & Viticulture Program, and present a comprehensive 5 year business plan. Reach out to David Baird, here for an initial consultation and to submit an application. Keep in mind there is limited space at our facility, and the permitting process can take up to 14 months.
To taste a few of the wines from the current tenants of Four Eight Wineworks, come see us at our Tasting Room located inside the Puscifer Store at 140 Main St. Jerome, Arizona 86331
