Founded in Jerome, Arizona in 2002, Caduceus Cellars is a small production, family-owned and operated winery. Winemaker M.J. Keenan began with one vineyard in Jerome, and soured fruit from other reputable growers around the Southwest region. Today, Caduceus produces 6500 cases annually from 100% Estate Grown fruit, farmed in Jerome, Cornville, Clarkdale, and Willcox, AZ. Production, assisted by winemaker Tim White, is combination of open topped 1/2 ton bin fermentation, stainless steel submerged cap extended maceration, and modified wild ferment carbonic maceration for the Reds, and whole cluster pressed stainless steel cold fermentation for the Whites and Rose’s. Since the launch of its very first vintage, Premier Paso, in 2004, Caduceus wines have received exceptional ratings (Judiths Tempranillo - 96 pts James Suckling) and have been awarded Gold and Silver medals by international wine competitions, including the NY World Wine & Spirits Competition, LA Int Wine Competition, SF Int Wine Competition, the Jefferson Cup, TEXSOM, and Arizona's AWGA event. Caduceus produces the Puscifer Queen B canned wines.
