Answers to some frequently asked questions.
It all starts with an Initial meeting with management team. This is an effort to identify need, establish availability and eligibility.
We are currently set up for grape wine production. It would be advisable to produce wine from grapes in order to best take advantage of the services Four Eight provides.
Four Eight Wineworks only has space for its tenants to store the wine they produce on site.
Due to the nature of our shared space at the winery we currently do not offer tours to the public, partly because of the level of coordination it would require.
While our tasting room is ideal for groups of most sizes and encourages them, state law prohibits our liquor license to be “Closed for a Private Party” unless we are at capacity. But by all means feel free to contact us for more details.
Four Eight Wineworks is an alternating proprietorship or AP. This means that each tenant of the co-op has attained its own series 13 (Arizona state Farm Winery License) and a basic permit from the TTB. This is the long way of saying Four Eight houses professional winemakers who make their own wine. With the right permitting a tenant may be available to take on clients and custom crush for them.
Custom Crush happens when a Licensed 13 commissions another 13 W/ a 21 to produce, bottle and label wine. The commissioned 13 will handle all federal and state promoting aside from TPT reporting. An AP will secure its own 13 and BP (Basic Permit). The AP is responsible for its own fruit source, and all production materials need for production. The AP does its own state and federal reporting and wine making.
